Kalde polypropylene pipes are manufactured in factories in Istanbul using German technology.

All products undergo strict quality control in laboratory conditions before being sent to stores. You may be interested in other manufacturers of polypropylene products..

Some historical facts about the company

Several young and proactive people became the founders of the Kalde concern, which was officially registered in 1998.

Within just two years, the company began opening representative offices throughout Eurasia, America, and even Africa.

This rapid rise was driven by the productive, active work of the company's entire team and their great dedication to their work.

Kalde's reputation has been painstakingly earned, as it is directly dependent on the quality of its products, which are already recognized in many countries around the world. Kalde pipes and fittings are a benchmark for quality, reliability, and durability.

For over three decades, the Kalde Group has been offering its easy-to-assemble and easy-to-transport products to customers in the construction market.

The quality and use of the latest technologies in the manufacture of Kalde plumbing and heating systems ensures their durability and reliability.

And the composition of the products makes it possible to avoid their internal silting and how a consequence of the complete blockage of certain sections of the pipeline.

Today, Kalde is one of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors of polypropylene pipes. All products are certified and meet generally accepted international quality standards.

Quality characteristics of polypropylene

At Kalde factories, the third type of Random Copolymer polypropylene is used for production, which is used for the manufacture of water pipes, for the installation of underfloor heating systems and heating communications.

  • resistance to high temperatures up to 95ºС, but at the same time maintain minimal thermal conductivity;
  • plasticity of the material, which does not affect its increased strength characteristics;
  • resistant to corrosion and aggressive chemical environments;
  • withstand sudden changes in pressure and temperature;
  • limescale and salt deposits do not remain on the inner surface;
  • environmentally friendly material.

Kalde polypropylene pipes are used in the installation of new systems and for the reconstruction of existing ones, both in residential and administrative buildings of various types.

Product range

In addition to the fact that the products of the Kalde concern are made only from high-quality materials that are completely safe for human health.

It's available in a wide range. You can order and purchase the following on the company's website and in stores:

  1. polypropylene products for plumbing and heating systems;
  2. polyethylene samples for installation of "warm floors";
  3. Ostendorf plastic sewer products;
  4. ready-made "warm floor" systems;
  5. fittings and other components.

Storage and installation of plastic pipes

It's best to store any plastic products in warehouse-type facilities protected from temperature fluctuations, moisture, and precipitation. Sunlight and low temperatures can degrade the material's technical properties.

When transporting Kalde products, during installation or storage, try to protect all elements from mechanical damage.

And during heating installation, sewerage or water supply, carefully inspect all parts for damage and contamination.

Defective components must not be used. They must be replaced immediately, and contaminated components must be cleaned before installation.

It is prohibited to install any systems made of polypropylene pipes when the air temperature is below +5 C.

If the components were stored in an unheated room, they must be warmed to at least room temperature before installation.

If this step is not taken, sudden temperature changes during pipeline installation may cause deformation and cracking of the components, leading to leaks. Avoid exposing polypropylene products to open flames.

When installing the water supply system, use factory-made Kalde threaded fittings. When using them, do not apply any extra force to avoid damaging the components.

Never attempt to cut threads on plastic parts yourself, as this will inevitably damage them. Fittings with standard threads are best set aside and not used at all.

To prevent depressurization and leakage of seams, pipe joints are sealed with Teflon tape, sealant or other sealing materials suitable for working with plastic.

The use of oakum or plumbing flax for this purpose is not recommended. When connecting the pipe to the fitting, any rotational movements between the connecting elements are prohibited.

When performing hydraulic tests on a pipeline, use only plugs made of plastic; the use of metal parts in this case is prohibited.

The intersection of parts of different pipelines is carried out using bypasses.

To cut and connect Kalde polypropylene pipes, you will need to use the following equipment:

  • soldering iron for soldering joints;
  • special scissors for cutting polypropylene pipes;
  • Nozzles for a welding machine (soldering iron) of different diameters.

Pipe communications are crossed using bypasses.

Problems during operation

To increase the service life of Kalde polypropylene pipes, it is recommended to maintain a pressure of up to 6 atmospheres and a temperature of around 80 C in the pipelines.

The maximum service life of pipes is considered to be the period during which the plastic pipe functions under constant pressure and temperature without deformation, chips, or cracks.

Very often, service life is significantly reduced not due to the quality of the material of pipelines and heating systems, but due to improper installation and sealing.

Therefore, when installing Kalde polypropylene pipes, special attention should be paid to the quality of work.

All the above information can be summarized in a few more sentences.

Only workers who have been engaged exclusively in this type of installation work for a long time should be trusted with purchasing components for installing plumbing and heating systems.

If you are not a professional in the given industry, you should not make purchases based on product descriptions in specialized literature, and especially not on descriptions read in online publications.

Listen to the advice of practicing specialists and take into account all the details before placing an order.
